C-310 Songbird, We were invited to help Hillside Aviation of Redding, Ca. in the restoration of Songbird and jumped at the chance. Songbird was used in television show Skyking. Working with this first class maintenance/restoration shop, we were able to really make an improvement in this aircraft. We removed a mix of old radios, instruments and switches and installed an Apollo stack including an SL-15 audio panel, MX-20 Multifunction Display, SL-30 com/nav, GX-60 GPS, an SL-70 transponder and an MD-200 nav indicator. We installed and couple this to the Stec 50 autopilot. All the instruments were sent out for overhaul and remarking.
